      Why use tableau Software ?

      A data-driven organization needs to analyze its data in order to be able to make efficient and just in time decisions. Tableau Software designs a family of data visualization-oriented products that start from the data preparation and transformation phase, then modeling to extracting performance KPIs and visualizing these KPIs on dashboards and stories. These must provide the necessary interactivity to facilitate the use and interpretation of the results.

      This self-service business intelligence tool gives the end user the autonomy to create their own visualizations using the Tableau Desktop tool.

      Tableau Desktop:

      Once the dashboard is built via Tableau Dekstop, you can publish it on Tableau Server (on-premices) or Tableau online (cloud). Thus, your dashboard will be accessible by the entire organization via a browser.

      Tableau Prep:

      To use advanced data cleansing and transformation techniques, Tableau offers the Tableau prep solution. Similar to an ETL, this solution provides advanced data integration functionality.

      Public Table:

      For sites and public content, you can share your achievements with everyone on this cloud space.

      Is Tableau free?

      The Tableau solution or products are not free. You will have a 14 day trial period only. In contrast, Tableau has great offers for higher education especially students, as well as small nonprofits and NGOs around the world can apply for Tableau license donations.

      What is Tableau Software offering?

      Tableau Software offers two types of offer for different usage categories.

      Individual user

      Tableau Creator license at $ 70 / month, This offer includes Tableau Desktop, Tableau Prep Builder. And a Creator license for Tableau Server or Tableau Online

      Team or organization:

      you can choose from Tableau Server (on-premises or in a private cloud) or Tableau Online hosted by Tableau Software. In both cases, you have the choice between three types of licenses: Creator ($ 70), Explorer ($ 35) and Viewer ($ 12).       How do I use Tableau Software?

      To use Tableau, you must first download and install Tableau Desktop, connect to the Superstore data source, and take your first visualization.

      The Udemy and coursera courses on Tableau Desktop are great for getting started with Tableau Software and doing practical cases.
